14th International Congress on Cybernetics
Namur, Belgium
August 21-25, 1995

The International Association for Cybernetics is organizing the 14th
International Congress on Cybernetics, which will be held from August
21 to 25, 1995, in Namur (Belgium), at the Faculty of Economics of University
of Namur.
Organization
------------
The congress is organized in symposia, with each having a special
subject. The chairperson of the symposium, proposes the theme,
organizes the communications and leads the debate. This preliminary
programme lists the symposia which have already been accepted by the
Organizing Committee.
Languages
---------
English and French are the official languages. Those symposia dealing
with "Cybernetics and Human Sciences" may use ILO.
Call for Papers
---------------
The authors are invited to send two copies of a 1-page summary to the
Secretariat. The deadline for receiving the summaries is fixed at
January 31, 1995. The proposed papers will be submitted for approval to
the chairperson of the selected symposium. Acceptance will be notified
within the following 2 months. The full text, which must not exceed 6
typed, single-spaced pages, is to be remitted by June 30, 1995.
Call for Symposia
-----------------
Other symposia may be suggested. The organizing candidates are invited
to submitt the proposed topics, together with a 1-page summary, and a
list of at least 4 collaborators, who are ready to present a paper. The
deadline is fixed at December 15, 1994. Acceptance will be notified by
January 15, 1995.
Accomodation
------------
Participants will have to book their accomomodation themselves. A list
of hotels can be forwarded on request. If necessary, student
accomodation is available.

The special conditions for young researchers are given on presentation
of a certificate issued by their university.
The registration fees cover participation at the Congress, the
preparatory documents, a reception and the coffee-breaks.

Proceedings
-----------
The pre-August 25, 1995 subscription price for the Proceedings is fixed
at BEF 6,000.
Only those papers which have been approved and effectively presented to
the Congress by the author will be published.
